The Goetz Family

Last week I had the privilege to photograph the beautiful Goetz family! We chose to shoot in September thinking it would be cooler weather, but boy were we wrong! It was about 100 degrees outside while shooting! Thank goodness you can't even tell in the pictures! And I just have to say what troopers they were!

Little boy Goetz could totally be a child actor! He came prepared with a cape and everything! He performed astonishingly well! I'd tell him to give me a smile or whatever and he'd give it to me. Then when I praised him he would get up and go about his business and play. HA! He's a pro at this already! and at 5 years old! O.o

The Goetz family is a sweet and fun family. I mean check them out throwing and spinning their little one around. Ok enough talking from me. So just sit back and scroll down and you will see just a glimpse of the love this family has for one another. I think I captured it perfectly.

The Baker Family

This is one of my favorite families! You may recognize their faces because they are all over the blog. The little one, Caris, is such a model that she is going to get her own blog post. So stay tuned for that. I am so honored to be able to photograph this beautiful family every year!

Let me tell y'all a little bit about the Baker's. Christie and I have been BFF's for 26 years! Her husband, Hadley is a very popular youth pastor. He and Christie run an awesome student ministry called Verve. (you can check out their website here) And Caris, boy does she love her daddy! I just love witnessing the trust between father and daughter as you will see in the last set of images in this post.

To sum it all up: The Baker's are well known in the community and much loved by everyone!

My Family

Just like every family, we were in need of recent pictures of us of this time in our life right now. My son came home from school for Thanksgiving so it was the perfect time to plan a family photoshoot. So I did. I now know what my clients go through before their sessions. It takes LOTS and LOTS of planning! You need to think of the color scheme for the shoot, the outfits, location AND schedule it when everyone can be there! It kinda gets nerve wrecking but it's so worth it! With my family, there was only one 30 minute window to get this done and all I wanted was one family shot and a couple with the kids and hubs. So Thanksgiving afternoon we all got ready and drove to a place that I have been admiring for some time. Set the camera on the tripod, told everyone about what I had in mind (as far as posing goes) and then clicked the button and RAN to my spot, then posed. This happened about 5 times. And did you see I was in heals?! We brought my fur baby to be in the portrait too, but this one I liked the best. I think he ran with me to my spot but kept going. HA! He's in the pic so that's all that matters! So the bottom line is that... yeah it may cost money and it may be a pain to get the whole family together for a few shots, but having even ONE picture is priceless!

The Minor Family

I had the privilege to photograph fellow photographer, Jennifer Minor, from Minor Impressions Photography and her beautiful family! Jennifer and I had been friends on Facebook for about two years now and had never met until this photo shoot! We have chatted and tried to get together for coffee but life as you know it, happens. Now that I have met Jennifer I can't believe it has taken this long to meet my new friend. During the shoot you would have thought we've been friends for years.
I LOVE this family! They were such a joy to photograph. I just have to say that it was very difficult to chose my favorites for the blog cause I loved them all. If I could sum this family up in a few words I would say: stylish, beautiful, helpful, and fun! And these girls are the CUTEST!
Now I'm off to buy some boots. ;^)

The Girls Brewer

A few weeks ago I did a mini shoot of the Brewer girls in the most gorgeous backyard! I was in awe when I pulled up and saw this amazing location. It was like something of out Better Homes & Gardens magazine! Anyway, these three gorgeous ladies totally gave me hair envy while I was photographing them! I was like, "Hello shampoo commercial!" See for yourself:

The Pollard Family!

I love this family dearly! Camery and I have been great friends for several years now and it always brings me joy to photograph her beautiful family. This past Christmas they were down visiting family, and so of course we had to squeeze in a photoshoot! For this blog post we will start out with Mom & Dad, then the girls, the boys, and then we will end it with sweet Canon. I can't look at these pictures without a big smile on my face! I'm so happy for this family when I think about their newest addition, a chocolate lab assistant dog and best friend to their son. Hopefully one day I will get the chance to photograph her as well.

Baker Fall Family Shoot

I love this family dearly! Every year, and sometimes in-between I will photograph one, two, or all three of the Bakers. Baby Caris is such a HAM! She loved the camera and was having such a good time! It only took me till the very end to bribe her with a blow pop. =D I wish you could see all of the pictures but I will show you my most favorites.

I love these shots! They kissed, then laughed, then kissed...

and then laughed again.

Such a beautiful family!

And to end this post I will tell you that Caris loves to sing! When we were all finished and driving home she started singing a song that she just happened to make up. It goes, "I was goin' picture takin', I was goin' picture takin'." It is now my favorite song! :^)

Here she is on video! See for yourself and you will be singing it too.
