The Girls Brewer

A few weeks ago I did a mini shoot of the Brewer girls in the most gorgeous backyard! I was in awe when I pulled up and saw this amazing location. It was like something of out Better Homes & Gardens magazine! Anyway, these three gorgeous ladies totally gave me hair envy while I was photographing them! I was like, "Hello shampoo commercial!" See for yourself:

Morgan

Back in August I did a long awaited photoshoot of my teen daughter. It was supposed to be for her 15th birthday but somehow we didn't get around to it until the end of her 15th year. This is why you need to make an appointment to get your pictures done or it doesn't happen. :D
Anyway, we had a blast deciding on the outfit, jewelry, and location. Morgan is totally into the Beatles, Classic Rock, and anything associated with the 70's. Even in one pic we dubbed the title, "The Farrah Fawcett". Ha! I think this mini shoot displays her personality perfectly. Here are a few of my favorites:

I am blessed to have met this family!

Pat is a friend of a friend. She contacted me when she heard about my fundraising mini sessions. The more I talked to her the more I felt like we've been friends for years! I know... so weird. So what can I tell you about Pat? Well she is a beautiful woman with a heart of God! She and her husband adopted all 5 of their children out of foster care! Yeah, see what I mean? I LOVE adoption! It's a beautiful thing! My little nephew was adopted from Thailand and I really can not see our family without him. Ok yall ready to see my favorites and to meet this family?! Here we go... starting with the parents.

Here are the girls

and the guys

Look how adorbs this baby is! She is Pat's precious granddaughter.

It was so nice to meet you Pat! I feel so honored to have photographed your beautiful family.

Monochromatic Light

I love black & white portraits! Don't get me wrong, I totally love color but sometimes an image looks best in B&W. I really can't explain why but somehow it draws you in and just speaks for itself. When editing this shot I knew it would look awesome if I stripped all the gorgeous fall colors off of it. I am very pleased with the results and I feel it made the portrait stronger.

Alien Youth

Just like the Skillet song says, "It's been confirmed that the aliens have landed"

What a blast we had with this photoshoot! I fell in love with this spaceship the first time I saw it! I knew I must shoot there. Thank you Alec & Morgan for being my awesome models!

If you look close you can see my reflection in his glasses

Boy did he get the smize down!!! Btw, smize means "Smiling with your eyes"

Right after I got the shot above I told Alec, "Your mom is going to love this one." Well that made him laugh and I got this shot. (below) Then I changed my mind and thought she would love this one much better!

1...2...3...Jump!

I had a blast during this photoshoot! Miss M, much like her pictures, is a vibrant teen with lots of goofiness. She does have a serious side as well, but I think I captured her personality perfectly. If you haven't seen her sneaky peek click here.

All I have to say to you Missy is... in the words of SuperChic(k) "Rock what you got, Light up the lot, No one can rock the way you rock!"

This is what I mean....

My nephew is rockin' the blog!

I am finally getting a chance to put the images up from J's photoshoot. I had so many great shot's from his shoot that I had to really narrow it down for the blog. I know I say that all the time but it's true. If you haven't seen his sneak peek yet then click here to check it out. I am biased since he is my nephew but I have to say...what a handsome guy he is!! He could totally model too! See for yourself.

Okay I have to say he looks just like Rocky Balboa in this shot!

I wonder what he's looking at and thinking about? hmmmmm

It was this!
I could not believe it but when I looked up from my camera he jumped up and climbed on this field goal! Then he was dangling from it! So I had to get a shot of it!

A perfect place for a "Multiple Me", I thought.

To finish this post I wanted to share my favorite shot of him with his momma.

I had such a fun time taking your pictures J!
