Caris: Child Model

I have been photographing Caris since she was three days old. She is now 4 years old and so that pretty much makes her a pro in front of the camera. These shots were taken along with her yearly family shoot but she needed a blog post of her own.

Caris is a STAR! She knows how to pose and when I wanted her to do something else all it took was a little direction. Not much, just a little. I would also like to mention that she is a song writer and singer! Take a look at her in action at last years photoshoot.

Caris should totally be signed up with a modeling agency. She could model anything and people would buy it! I even wanted to buy that dress! ha ha So to get her started into modeling I made Caris a comp card. ;^)

The Baker Family

This is one of my favorite families! You may recognize their faces because they are all over the blog. The little one, Caris, is such a model that she is going to get her own blog post. So stay tuned for that. I am so honored to be able to photograph this beautiful family every year!

Let me tell y'all a little bit about the Baker's. Christie and I have been BFF's for 26 years! Her husband, Hadley is a very popular youth pastor. He and Christie run an awesome student ministry called Verve. (you can check out their website here) And Caris, boy does she love her daddy! I just love witnessing the trust between father and daughter as you will see in the last set of images in this post.

To sum it all up: The Baker's are well known in the community and much loved by everyone!

My nephew is getting sooooo old!

I can't believe that Nok has getting so big! Last weekend I did a little mini shoot of him and couldn't believe how grown up he looks. Not only is he handsome but so mature looking! You might recognize him from the post I did of him earlier this year by clicking here.

This is the face I got when I was going for the relaxed/no smile face. (this was taken right before the first pic in this post) I said to him, "Pretend that you are a marshmellow." *click*

The Baker Girls

Last week I did a mom & daughter mini shoot of the Baker girls. So fun! First we'll start off with the littlest Baker girl. She is a HAM!

Next up, Momma Baker

We had a great time! Loved photographing yall! Such beautiful girls!

The faces of a 10 year old.

This little man is my nephew. What joy he brings to our family. He is such a ball of energy, very animated, and loves to sing to the Lord! I can not listen to the song, "How He Loves" {by David Crowder Band} without thinking of my nephew. One night, while he was getting ready for bed, he was in his room singing at the top of his lungs to that song. What a sweet sound. It touched my heart. And I know it had to make God smile! "Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts." -1 Chronicles 16:9

His dad, full of gags, thought it would be fun to break out a mustache! I laughed so much while editing these. He looks so mischievous.

Graceful, ballerina, and fairy-like

Those are the words I thought of when I first saw my beautiful niece that evening. I could not wait to take her pictures! To give us enough time we scheduled this shoot an hour before her dance recital. When we got there it was sprinkling. :/ And, well since I am a natural light photographer I have to work with the weather. There was no way I was going reschedule this! I had to think fast. So what did we do? We worked with the sprinkles of course! I think this was the fastest photoshoot I had ever done!

Before, when I would ask to see her dance moves she would be too shy to show me. But I thought maybe I would get to see some during this shoot. So I asked her again. This is what I got.

What a performer! I don't think she complained one bit about getting *a little* rained on.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today I wanted to make a post about my dear friend, Camery Pollard. This woman is super talented in everything she does. God has truely gifted her. Camery's passion is creating art on walls and turning them into beautiful murals that will last for years. Check out her work on her super cute website at www.cjpmurals.com . Warning: you will be there for a long time because there is a lot to look at. My kids rooms are on there too and their murals have grown with them over the years. So if you live in Kitsap County, Washington and are wanting a unique mural for your home, check her website out.

Back in 2007 I went to Washington to shoot their family portraits. There are so many good ones but I had to narrow it down to my most favorites. Oh and I have to say that Washington's beaches are so beautiful!

In this first shot they ordered a big standout print that is mounted on their wall in their home. It looks awesome!

This is Daisy, their fur baby. She's in her favorite spot in the house, right under the kitchen table.

I so love these pictures that I caught of their daughter practicing at the piano. When I was taking pictures here and there I heard her playing so I *had* to capture how beautiful the moment was.

Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay

While looking at my blog I have noticed that I do not have a "Childrens" catagory up. I thought that I would put past photoshoots up here to fill in all the catagories that I like to shoot. I thought I would start it off with some favorites from a shoot I did with my niece and nephew back in '07.

Remember him? This was the main image on my website back in 2005.

Aww

AWW aren't they super cute!
