Retro Bride

Three weeks ago, I had the pleasure of second shooting a wedding with my good friend, Kelly Turk of Exposures To Sunlight. {The only weddings I shoot now a days are as a second shooter for my wedding photography friends} This Bride is fellow photographer, Tamara of RTC PhotoWork. She was so stunning and looked like a retro pin-up model! Here are a few of my shots from that day.

If you'd like to see more from this wedding, please check out Kelly's blog post here.

Bride & Groom {After the Wedding}

Last weekend I had the honor of shooting commercial photographer, Vernon Wentz and photo stylist, Mari Salas's wedding with my awesome photographer friend Christa Davidson. Vernon and Mari's wedding took place on their beautiful ranch in Corsicana, Texas. Vows were said, hymns were sung and with the grooms American Indian heritage, there was a beautiful fire ceremony that was the perfect finale. The Wentz's are a beautiful couple that treats everyone they meet like family. May God bless you both abundantly!

Renewal Of Vow's Ceremony in Jamaica

I noticed that I am a little behind in blogging. It's much easier to post my latest sessions on Facebook and tag everyone than it is to keep up the blog. Well today I am going to try it get this thing all caught up, starting with this past summer in July.

One of my best girlfriends has been married for 15 years and she and her husband wanted to renew their marriage vows in their favorite vacationing spot in Jamaica. They invited a few friends and family to share in the occasion and I was asked to photograph the ceremony. I was like, "UMMM YEAH I'll go to Jamaica to shoot your wedding!!" My husband and I made it into a working vacation and had the most romantic time! We are totally planning on going back someday. I have gathered just a few of my favorites from the wedding to share with you. So just sit back and enjoy.

This is a saying often used in Jamaica and perfectly fitting for the occasion! This is my FAVE pic of them all and I even entered it into a photo contest.

The Ceremony took place on 7 mile beach in Negril, Jamaica at Couples Resorts.
This was AWESOME! After we were all done with the photographs the Bride & Groom walked down the beach and the whole resort was cheering them on an whistling for congratulations.

Cindy & Tri {Wedding}

When my friend, Christa asked me if I'd like to be her second shooter at in upcoming wedding I said, YEAH I'd love to! I haven't seen her in a couple of years and thought it would love to work with her! When time got closer to the wedding date we were exchanging emails back and forth with all the details. I about fell over when she told me the wedding was taking place at my childhood church. It was so bazarro to go back to St. Pius X since I haven't been to mass there in over 24 years! Everything looked the same except they took out the red carpet. But it was like I was a little girl again as I walked into that beautiful church and saw the statue of Jesus on the cross, the elegant detailed stained glass, and all the pews. Ok enough about that, let's get on with the wedding photos.
This is the wedding of Cindy & Tri. What a super sweet couple they are! And oh so much in love! You could see it in their faces! I am privileged to take part in capturing their special day!

Thank you Tri, Cindy and family for treating me as if I was family! Also, I want to thank Christa for choosing me to be your back up! I'd do it for you anytime!

Look how gorgeous the stained glass work is!

I so loved this moment when I saw the flower girl looking up at the bride.

Some of my favorite after the wedding shots.

And the happy bride dancing the night away.
